Port Xanatath is a poor, low-population desert world with a population less than 10,000 sophonts in population size.
- This world has no free-standing water.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Ventura Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits beyond the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Port Xanatath is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Port Xanatath has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Port Xanatath has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Satellites:[edit]
Port Xanatath retains two small vacuum moons.
- They orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Extensive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Port Xanatath is the site of a legendary former pirate base.
- The "real" Port Xanatath is located within a large planetoid that orbits the systems secondary star.
- The nominated mainworld of the system bears the same name but is a dusty backwater desert world.
- The location of the base remained secret for centuries.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Port Xanatath has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The mainworld port facilities are due to be downrated to a Class C Starport.
- The planetoid base orbiting the secondary star has a fully functioning Class B Starport
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Port Xanatath has a population of 7000.
- Approximately 1000 individuals live on the mainworld.
- Approximately 6000 individuals live on a planetoid base orbiting the secondary star.
Urbanization[edit]
On the mainworld, a large central facility is located adjacent to the port facilities. There are a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
The true Port Xanatath is a city tunneled into a large metallic planetoid. It lies within the planetoid belt orbiting the secondary star.
- Structures and facilities are sealed.
- It is rumored to be the location of a slave market.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Port Xanatath possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)[edit]
Port Xanatath is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be monarchy, with titles passed to family members. Or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Or the organization may be more typical organization with positions of power inherited.
World Military[edit]
Privately retained security personnel.
World Law (L)[edit]
Port Xanatath has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 6 (few)
- Labor: 2 (hundreds)
- Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
- Efficiency: -3 (poor)
