Oawiyh is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Oawiyh has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Oawiyh has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Oawiyh is relatively busy, with a growing economy and improving standards of living.

• The resources of the system are being exploited.

The world has been settled by Ihatei Aslan, moving to spinward along the edge of the Great Rift in search of new territories.

• Settlement within the region has been sporadic, largely occurring between the year 1000 and the 1060s.
• Prior to settlement, Oawiyh was a barren world.

Many businesses, organizations, and private interests are active within the system.

• Commercial traffic is sporadic: ships occasionally visit.
• Commo is filled with signals and private chatter. Communications are in Trokh and Riftian Anglic.
• One or two commercial navigation beacons may be active.
• A few vessels may be operating among the other worlds and moons that make up the system.

World Starport (St)

Oawiyh has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Oawiyh has a population of 300 million.

Multiple large urban centers are surrounded by smaller satellite communities.

• Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion, and the most fundamental atomic energy.

  • Water: Large ships and submersibles with steel hulls.
  • Air: Early aircraft including seaplanes and very early unmanned rockets.

Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
