A Unstreamlined Hull is a kind of ship structure, fuselage, chassis, or hull.
An Unstreamlined Hull is a relatively compact hull marginally capable of entering atmospheres. It is probably the most commonly encountered hull type with the vacuum. It is handicapped by its inattention to streamlining, but is also far less expensive.
Unstreamlined craft are specialized spacecraft designed to fly through the vacuum, not jumpspace nor a planetary atmosphere. Unlike the streamlined hulls of atmospheric cost, much less material is required for surface plating allowing less need for materials and allowing greater access to machinery and equipment.

CBPUSAL Function Designation Streamlining Spectrum[edit]
The Imperial Ship Builders Association (ISBA) qualifies modern naval hulls across this spectrum:
- C. Cluster. An accumulation of compartments.
- B. Braced Cluster. Structured for higher acceleration.
- P. Planetoid. A hollowed nickel-iron asteroid.
- U. Unstreamlined. Protrusions increase drag.
- S. Streamlined. Cowlings and fairings decrease drag.
- A. Airframe. Winged for performance in atmosphere.
- L. Lifting Body. Radically streamlined lifting-surfaces.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Spacecraft have little to no need for streamlining, in fact, since it represents extra cost, many dedicated spacecraft use no streamlining at all allowing cheaper, overall costs.
