Introduction (Biography)

Greetings, my name is Michael McKinney. My contribution to the community is less my own, and more in the man I represent these days, Donald McKinney. My late father was heavily invested in Traveller and wanted to see this game he loved spread on. He was big on growing the population of fans, of passing the game onto the next generation, of having his Victorian dreams of Horatio Hornblower but in space. My father spent his time and energy in being a historian, building the effective canon timeline of Traveller.

How I see myself is more an archaeologist. I see myself as someone who digs through his records, remembers his sayings and writings, and maintaining the record of his work. I don't actively host Traveller content anywhere, and most of the works I've done are through Dad's name, not my own. The McKinney family is grateful to the community for the memories you gave him, grateful to Marc and his game system for giving Dad inspiration in his private gaming life and in the writings he did. We are grateful for the inclusion and chance to continue to respect his legacy and make sure his name keeps in the documents he contributed to.
