History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Though it is in the same local area of space, Maia is NOT the primary star of the world Maia/Aglaea (Canopus 0227), whose primary star is of type K2 V. The primary star of the world Maia does lie close to the actual location of the star named Maia, however, and likely lends the world its name.
