Jewells

Popular name for the cluster of six Imperial-held worlds in the center of the Jewell Subsector: Ruby (Spinward Marches 1005), Emerald (Spinward Marches 1006), Jewell (Spinward Marches 1106), Mongo (Spinward Marches 1204), Nakege (Spinward Marches 1305), and Lysen (Spinward Marches 1307). These strategic worlds have long been a thorn in the Zhodani side, constituting a fortified dagger pointed into Zhodani territory. The Jewells have therefore seen much fighting, as their capture has been a Zhodani strategic goal in most of the Frontier Wars.
