System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.

  • It lies within the zones prime H region.
  • It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Hunon is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Hunon has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

  • The atmospheric taint consists of airborne spores that cause acute severe allergic reactions.
  • Spores produced by species of flora native to certain regions of the world can use the lungs of humans as a habitat, causing a chronic respiratory infection.
    • Infection causes increasing breathing difficulties as the inhaled spores grow into a microscopic mat that draws nutrients from the cells that it coats.
    • The mats sprout fruiting bodies and spread more spores within the airways. Large numbers of spores are exhaled into the environment.
    • As the infection spreads within the lungs, death occurs as a result of organ failure rather than suffocation - as they feed, the mats release toxic substances into the body.
    • Hospital facilities and courses of specific pharmaceutical drugs can provide a complete cure.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Hunon has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Satellites:[edit]

Hunon retains two relatively large vacuum moons.

  • The worlds orbit once every few weeks.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

  • Locally, detailed maps may be available.
  • Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
  • Detailed survey data commands premium prices.

Native Lifeforms[edit]

Abundant, diverse native life filling every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

The system is a remote wilderness, lying on the very edge of Charted Space.

  • Information about the system is limited.
  • The resources of the system are largely untapped.

Hunon is a former outpost of the Wuaye.

  • It has been abandoned for more than a thousand years.
  • No trace of the former settlement remains.

Note that social data, though only 40 years old, may be out of date: previously undocumented groups may now inhabit the system and maintain their own culture, forms of government, and systems of law.

  • Verified updated data is constantly sought.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Hunon does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Hunon possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.

  • The world has no technological base.

World Government (G)[edit]

Hunon has no government or ruling authority of any kind.

World Military[edit]

None.

World Law (L)[edit]

Hunon has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 9 (moderate)
  • Labor: 0 (unpopulated)
  • Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
  • Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: -3 (very unimportant)

World Demographics (P)[edit]

Hunon is unpopulated.

  • Rumors persist that a number of Wuaye got left behind when the world was abandoned around the Year 0.

Urbanization[edit]

None.

World Culture[edit]

  • Homogeneity: 0 (none)
  • Acceptance: 0 (none)
  • Strangeness: 0 (none)
