Hkaiea is a pre-agricultural, moderate population world with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.

• Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly improve barring outside forces.
• This world is part of the Aslan Hierate, as a world where multiple clans have split control of the planet, in the A Ekhyolyooul Subsector of Touchstone Sector.

History and Background

Hkaiea is a modest world with big plans. The local Aokhalte leaders have frenetically begun building infrastructure in anticipation for a tenfold increase in population. This has included the purchase and construction of massive arcologies, grav cities and huge transit networks. Outside analysts, both human and Aslan, are flummoxed by this needless construction, as Aokhalte has, for once, no pressing population problems that need adressing. In addition, there is no identifiable source of funding for this enterprise. Apparently, the clan's offworld leadership is being kept uninformed or deceived about the magnitude of this undertaking, and rumors abound of a brewing internal military confrontation.
