System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Hell is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Hell has an Insidious Atmosphere which requires the use of a Hostile Environment Suit or Vacc Suit, but extreme conditions cause the corrosive effects to defeat any personal protective measures in a few hours. TL–10 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Hell has 35-45% of its surface covered by a fluid other than water. Wilderness refueling is not possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

  • This surface fluid may be ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids depending on the local temperature and environment.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

World Starport (St)[edit]

Hell has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Hell has population of 100 sophonts (hundreds).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Hell possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Hell is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be monarchy, with titles passed to family members. Or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Or the organization may be more typical organization with positions of power inherited.

World Law (L)[edit]

Hell has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Hell, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 8 (moderate)
  • Labor: 1 (tens)
  • Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
  • Efficiency: -1 (average)
