Gzethnanang is a world suited to becoming an agricultural world, but with a population between 10,000 and 100,000 sophonts, but lacks the capability to produce or process sufficient resources to export its projected agricultural produce. It is a Vargr dominated Non-Aligned world in the Ourdzoeg Subsector of Knoellighz Sector.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Gzethnanang (Knoellighz 3102) B464444-C Ni / Ht as a far-flung colony expected the Democracy of Greats to quickly expand its borders and eventually annex this world. Yet, as of 1105, some twenty-five years after initial colony ship landings, the greater polity shows more growth in the Spinward and Coreward subsectors than in local Ourdzoeg Subsector. The worlds of the so-called Gateway to Ghoekhnael are proving far more fruitful than a single gem on a stunted growth edge. Not without patience, the Representative Democracy has planned for the long wait and dug in as the great slug of conquest by the Democracy of Greats calls upon this world again.
With no planetoid belts nor Gas Giants, all refueling must take place either on the 40% hydrosphere or at the B-rated Downport. While there are three orbital docking platforms available for distributed hull starships, they are not true Highports. Secondary berths there allow for commuting shuttles to act as go-between to the planet’s surface.
The Standard, gentle atmosphere of Gzethnanang allows comfortable living for the 40,000 Vargr here though no true headway has been made to earn the world Agricultural, Rich in resources or the production to become Industrial. The colony planners had incorrectly banked on the hopes that the mainworld would attract colonists from the Democracy of Greats in a boomtown draw. But that has not happened at 1105 and the population only continues to swell and decrease with Trade rather than through permanent settlers. Even the comforts of a High Technology rating have only yielded more economy on its current population scale rather than entice future development. Its computerized referendum network has allowed all local citizens of Gzethnanang a 91% quorum desire to annex to the larger polity, the Democracy continues to spread Spinward to challenge the distant Zhodani Consulate and Coreward in an attempt to snatch up the Gateway to Ghoekhnael. Thus today, Gzethnanang remains a neglected, passed-over and a Non-Aligned world.
The local astronomers of Gzethnanang have repeatedly sent requests to Rimward worlds for help in studying the local type T Brown Dwarf occupying an outer orbit normally seen held by Gas Giants. As of 1105, scientific minds just a few parsecs Rimward have more interesting phenomena to study.
