Following the suggestions of several people, some here, some on other wikis, I've installed the Cite extension. This will allow wiki article writers to reference specific sentences or paragraphs with their source via footnotes. This follows the Wikipedia style of adding citations to the text.

From the directions on the Cite page, you (the article writer) needs to make two changes: add a <ref>Reference text here</ref> to the article where you want the footnote marker to appear, then add a <references/> at the bottom of the article.

If you have several citations which are all from the same source, you can give them a name. For example <ref name="BTC">[[GURPS Traveller: Behind the Claw]]</ref>, then each of the following same references can use the same name: <ref name="BTC"/>.

For the Traveller Wiki specifically, I'm going to add the <references/> tag to the {{Sources}} template, which is, or should be, on every page. This means, if it works correctly, the only change you (the article writers) need to make is adding the <ref> tag with the correct text.

If you have questions about this, please let me know.
