Erwind is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Banderhue Subsector of Theta Borealis Sector.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- This dangerous world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions make it dangerous to visitors.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Erwind is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a red main sequence.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.
- The tertiary is a tiny white dwarf stellar remnant..

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Erwind is a Twilight Zone World.
- In the narrow region between permanent night and permanent day, the primary star eternally hangs on the horizon.
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the stars Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Erwind is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Erwind has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- Stellar flare activity causes dangerous levels of background radiation.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Erwind has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No information yet available.
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native life is tolerant of radiation.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
No information yet available.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Erwind has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
Facilities[edit]
Port facilities within the system include:
- No information yet available.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Erwind possesses a Technology Level of TL–5.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion, and the most fundamental atomic energy.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ground cars or automobiles and tracked vehicles.
- Water: Large ships and submersibles with steel hulls.
- Air: Early aircraft including seaplanes and very early unmanned rockets.
World Government (G)[edit]
Erwind is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.
World Military[edit]
No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Erwind has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: 5 (scarce)
- Labor: 2 (hundreds)
- Infrastructure: 0 (non-existent)
- Efficiency: -5 (extremely poor)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -3 (very unimportant)
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Erwind has a population of 7000
Urbanization[edit]
A single central facility with a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 1 (monolithic)
- Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
- Strangeness: 3 (somewhat typical)
- Symbols: 3 (somewhat concrete)
