Ershur (Ma 0504) is an agricultural, nonindustrial, pre-rich world with a growing agro-economy, but still lacks an adequate population to expand its economy to a rich status.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world has promising economic future although it needs to recruit a larger labor force in order to achieve the desired prosperity.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Kerr Subsector of Massilia Sector in the Domain of Sylea.
- This world has a nearby Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
- During the Long Night this world was named Kama.
- Not to be confused with Kaggushus, which during the Rule of Man was named Hub/Ershur.

History-Era: New Era[edit]
High ranking bureaucrats and nobles on Kaggushus set aside the world for their estates and recreation. Most of the world is covered in steamy rain forests and sweltering deserts, and the low axial tilt prevents much freezing during the winters. Most of the colonists settled in the temperate polar regions, venturing into the lower latitudes only on rare occasions. As a result most of the world is unspoiled wilderness, paradise the locals will tell off-worlders.
- For millenia artists and other bohemian types (at least by Vilani standards) have come to Ershur to create their work in relative peace. Because of the backwater status of the region, most of its original architecture has been spared the wrecking ball of commercially driven renovation. This has prevented the locals from attaining much prosperity, but the slowness of life in its timeless settlements has led to an institutionalized disdain of Solomani commercialism anyway. Few structures of less than at least a few hundred years of age exist, and most newer buildings are found on the grounds of the antebellum and current starports. Vilani nobles invested a large amount of money and treasure on estates here during all three previous Imperiums, and this wealth has carried over into the New Era.
- Ershur is the "Treasurehouse of the Hub." Many Imperial financial houses had major offices here during the antebellum period. In fact it is rumored that an enormous amount of Hortalez et Cie assets were shepherded away here in the last days of the Third Imperium and now make up a major financing source for the current Hub Worlds government, which has split it with several local banks. The largest of these is Musizis Pen LIC, a former Hortalez subsidiary with a seemingly bottomless credit line. It has been one of the major underwriters of new ship construction, but has also been accused of shady dealings within the Hub Worlds government, and with a number of old money families on Ershur.
- The low current tech level has been off major concern to the local leadership, and major improvement projects are under way. A number of companies have been funded by local banks to explore the Wilds and bring back recovered technology for the "greater good." That many of these expeditions are lavish by Hub World standards, and that "greater good" is defined seemingly to mean "The nobility first, Ershur a close second, and everyone else a distant third" has been a major source of friction in both Chambers of the Hub World government, with representatives from Towering and Cronin vociferously attacking this perceived corruption, and Kaggushus and Fournier just as vigorously defending it.
