Earawya is a nonindustrial water world, which has 90% or more of its surface covered in an ocean of water.
- The inhabitants of this world live on the roughly 10% of exposed land mass, in underwater colonies, on city ships, or similar arrangements.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- This world is part of the Aslan Hierate, as a vassal clan dominate, in the A Ekhyolyooul Subsector of Touchstone Sector.
- This world-system hosts a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
There is a Clan Naval Base, with a Clan Naval Squadron stationed here.
- The Earawya Self Defense Force was built locally and is under the command of the planetary ruler.
Point of Interest: Colonizer Ships[edit]
The colonizer cities are technological marvels. There are mostly the same size, and each houses a few hundred thousand citizen/crew members. These ships can maintain orbit. As a result most visitors stay in orbit. Local traffic to and from the surface is typically restricted to refueling ships, passenger and cargo shuttles. These cities can remain aloft with their anti-grav propulsion to maneuver in the atmosphere. They can 'land' and float on the surface of the hydrosphere. They can also submerge and even rest on the abyssal plains if self defense requirements dictate. These operations are under the watchful eye of the Earawya Self Defense Force.
There is a rich native marine biosphere with a high diversity of species. The abundance of marine life would almost qualify the planet as an agricultural exporter. In any event, the local population is well fed, as long as you like seafood.
