Made from advanced composites, the dhinou is a lightweight breastplate used by those who require strong protection on the front of their body when they board spacecraft. Such people have little need for coverage on their back and are less encumbered by the full torso coverage of the dhoukha. Individuals wearing a dhinou often gain respect and trust from their peers as it is an indication that the wearer is unlikely to turn tail in combat.
