System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Beraugaus orbits in the outer system, just beyond the star's habitable zone.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Beraugaus is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Beraugaus has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Beraugaus has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.

  • The worlds small seas are crusted with pack ice.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Beraugaus is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.

  • Visitors are advised to act with caution.

Imperial settlers first came to the world to exploit its extremely abundant mineral resources. It has remained as the mainworld since then, despite the presence of a far more hospitable world orbiting within the star's habitable zone.

Beraugaus was never incorporated into the Ziru Sirka. Its status under the Rule of Man remains unclear.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Beraugaus has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Beraugaus has a population of 600,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Beraugaus possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Beraugaus is governed by a Non-charismatic Dictatorship. A continuation of the charismatic dictatorship, where the original leadership has died or retired and replaced by allies or protégés. The reasons for the change in government remain as well as the assertion of rights to rule.

World Law (L)[edit]

Beraugaus has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A world with this law level may be an Amber Zone or a Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked. There is no legal concept of privacy (save for those who can claim necessity for official government business). The police are free to inspect anyone and anything at any time.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]

Beraugaus, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 2 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: F (extremely abundant)
  • Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
  • Infrastructure: C (very extensive)
  • Efficiency: +5 (very advanced)

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: B (discordant)
  • Acceptance: A (very friendly)
  • Strangeness: 8 (very confusing)
  • Symbols: F (extremely abstract)
