The Baron Emerald Stakes is a Horse race held annually on Regina.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The Baron Emerald Stakes is the culmination of the Kingsbury Races, held between 039 and 041 at Kingsbury on Regina. The race is only for Horses with one rider (who must be mounted throughout the entire race) and is two circuits of the Kingsbury city square (or almost 2000m).
The prize for the race is a purse of Cr20,000 and "the Treen" - a small carved figure of a horse.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The Baron Emerald Stakes became the premier horse race on Regina because of the fantastic quality of the 3rd Baron's stable and the fact that he won a Cr 10,000,000 wager against the 8th Duke's most famous horse in the square.
