Auheliylaol is an agricultural world with the potential to become an industrial power.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import many manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- This world is part of the Aslan Hierate, as a single one-clan dominate, in the Oarua Subsector of Afawahisa Sector.
- This is a "low technology" world with technology competencies well below standard for Charted Space.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Auheliylaol is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Auheliylaol has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Auheliylaol has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Initially appearing to be a highly habitable world, Auheliylaol changed hands several times during the settlement phase, with multiple clans establishing large landgrab colonies; the resulting war has destroyed the technological infrastructure.
The war for Auheliylaol was the breaking of several clans' power, with some staying in the fight long after it was sensible due to pride. The world took on a significance far beyond its worth.
The current population is ruled by a composite clan of survivors, still fighting other remnants for control, but recognised as government category AsWc.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Auheliylaol does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
Auheliylaol has a population of 30,000,000 sophonts (tens of millions).
- The population consists of Aslan.
World Languages[edit]
- Trokh: The universal language of the modern Aslan monoculture.
- Aslan Languages: Note that some Aslan clans retain obscure or archaic languages for personal use in addition to Trokh.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Auheliylaol possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
- Some relic technology survives, jealously hoarded and used to support the powerbase of emerging composite clans.
World Government (G)[edit]
Auheliylaol has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
- The world is under a form of military rule. Several clan military factions have put aside their differences and are building a post-apocalypse society of sorts, fighting to cement control over the planet.
World Military[edit]
No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Auheliylaol has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Criminal acts are rare but not unheard of in Aslan society. Crimes are different from the insults or slurs that provoke duels, and are classified into three categories: crimes of passion, crimes with victims, and crimes of honour.
- Crimes of passion involve misbehavior prompted by temper, anger, or provocation. The accused is judged by the head of the family, pride, or clan involved.
- Crimes with victims involve taking money or items of value, or violating the person of another for profit (kidnapping, terrorism, piracy). General practice is to have an impartial earleatrais consider the case and present findings.
- Crimes of honour involve failure to observe the rituals established for social behaviour. Judgement is made by the pride or clan head, depending on the severity of the crime. Crimes of honour are the most serious in Aslan society; in practice, most are never tried as a duel to the death occurs first.
