The primary is Almera, an ordinary white main sequence [[star]]. It has a luminosity of 3.5 Sols, a mass of 1.3 Sols, and a diameter of 1.948 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a [[trace atmosphere]] [[inner world]], (III) a [[corrosive atmosphere]] [[inferno world]], and (IV) Zuramid, designated the [[mainworld]] – orbital position (II) is empty. (V) A [[ring]]ed [[large gas giant]] orbits within the [[habitable zone]]. The outer worlds retain [[satellite]]s.

The companion is Purdur, a dim red subdwarf [[star]] that orbits Almera at a mean distance of 41.7 AU (orbital position (X), 6.3 billion km) and has an orbital period of 236 years 64 days. It has a luminosity of 0.00103 Sols, a mass of 0.081 Sols, and a diameter of 109,000 km. (I) a [[vacuum]] [[iceworld]], (II) a [[vacuum]] [[worldlet]], and (III) a [[small gas giant]] form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain [[satellites]].

(IV) Zuramid is designated the [[mainworld]]. It orbits Almera at a mean distance of 1.04 AU (155.6 million km), within the [[habitable zone|H–]] region of the inner system. It has an orbital period of 339 days 19 hours and a rotation period of 17.5 hours. The axial tilt is 25 degrees. Zuramid has a diameter of 13,244 km, a density of 6.16 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 1.16 G. Tidal stresses generated by the gravitational pull of Darnation, its large [[satellite|moon]], cause frequent geological activity. Its atmosphere is rated as [[Dense Atmosphere|Dense]], [[Tainted atmosphere|Tainted]], with a mean surface pressure of 3.38 bar and a composition of 79% nitrogen (N<sub><small>2</small></sub>), 20% oxygen (O<sub><small>2</small></sub>), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H<sub><small>2</small></sub>O), carbon dioxide (CO<sub><small>2</small></sub>), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The [[Tainted atmosphere|taint]] is caused by the extremely high atmospheric pressure: breathing the air without artificial assistance can result in nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity. Zuramid is a [[water world]]: approximately 99.7% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water. Average tidal ranges exceed 0.75m. Mean surface temperature: 4°C. The [[Fringian_Variant_System_Description#Planetary_Climate|climate]] is rated as Temperate-Cool and experiences moderate changes during the local year. The atmosphere is dynamic and powerful weather systems driven by the star and the oceans surge across the globe.

Total surface area: 551 million km², Water surface area: 549.5 million km², Land surface area: 1.5 million km². Almost the entire surface is covered by the Zuram, the world-ocean. Close to the equator the waters are shallower, and chains of volcanic islands dot the ocean. Occasional isolated peaks occur within the tropics, but there is almost no land between the tropics and the poles. Both the northern and southern poles have extensive permanent ice caps, which shrink and expand seasonally.
