Two different descriptions of Zeta 2 have been published.
IISS Ship Files
In Games Workshop's IISS Ship Files (1981) Zeta 2 is described as an Imperial Navy target range. The heavily cratered and pock marked planet is extremely radioactive. Six Navy 400 dton SMU-4C automated interdiction satellites have been place to warn off any intruders.
GURPS Traveller: Behind the Claw
In Steve Jackson Games' GURPS Traveller: Behind the Claw (1998) Zeta 2 is described as having a corrosive atmosphere composed mainly of fluorine compounds, with 60% of the planet's surface covered by hydroflouric-acid seas.
The Railen Institute, a private research group, has established small orbital facility over Zeta 2 to study extreme-condition survival for vessels and probes.
Zeta 2 is rumored to be inhabited by sentient minor race named the Viji. They are allegedly small crystalline creatures somehow capable of surviving in Zeta 2's extremely harsh environment.
