Zeta 2 is an unclaimed world located in the Vilis Subsector of the Spinward Marches. The planet is a barren hellworld designed as a reserve and classified as a Red Zone. Zeta 2 has a corrosive atmosphere composed mainly of fluorine compounds, with 60% of the planet's surface covered by hydroflouric-acid seas.
The Railen Institute, a private research group, has established small orbital facility over Zeta 2 to study extreme-condition survival for vessels and probes.
Zeta 2 is rumored to be inhabited by sentient minor race named the Viji. They are allegedly small crystalline creatures somehow capable of surviving in Zeta 2's extremely harsh environment.
