Zeta 2
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Vilis Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector.
- Zeta 2 is rumored to be inhabited by sentient minor race named the Viji. They are allegedly small crystalline creatures somehow capable of surviving in Zeta 2's extremely harsh environment.
Description (Planetology)
The planet is a barren hellworld designed as a reserve and classified as a Red Zone. Zeta 2 has a corrosive atmosphere composed mainly of fluorine compounds, with 60% of the planet's surface covered by hydroflouric-acid seas.
The Railen Institute, a private research group, has established small orbital facility over Zeta 2 to study extreme-condition survival for vessels and probes.
Non-canon: Zeta 2 is an Imperial Navy target range. The heavily cratered and pock marked planet is extremely radioactive. Six Navy 400 ton SMU-4C automated interdiction satellites have been place to warn off any intruders.[2]
