World Data

The mainworld is a hot, medium-sized planet one orbit inward from the habitable zone, with one moon.

Mainworld Topography and Geography

The interaction of two tectonic plates caused earthquakes and large-scale volcanic eruptions in the 1100s, resulting in the destruction of Zeen's primary starport and much of their primary city's infrastructure. Rebuilding commenced as soon as possible, complicated by political disagreement.

History & Background (Dossier)

This world is inhabited by Droyne. While they are not particularly outgoing, they are shrewd traders and many wide-ranging Droyne merchant starships call Zeen their home. The Kirissukyoya of Giikusu (Deneb 2316), a Minor Race native to Deneb, were saved from extinction by Droyne from Zeen.

The Droyne of Zeen are often used to illustrate the constancy of Droyne culture: they have been shown to have remained at a Tech Level approximating level 4 for over 10,000 years, with neither lapse nor advancement over most of that time.

World Starport

Zeen has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

This rating is largely due to the ongoing process of rebuilding following a natural disaster; more typically, the starport is of higher quality.

World Technology Level

World Government

The Aydih Nusalm are a sort of secret service and praetorian guard combined into one. It is their business to know the operations of the various oytripin on Zeen and to internally manage potential dissent, expeditiously and quietly if possible.

In 1105, a faction called the Eprotstisk used the recent wave of natural disasters to highlight the incompetence of the current government and petition for a change. There were some rumours that the Eprotstisk was actually a front for the Tyuisel, a more radical group, who conspired to overthrow the government completely.

World Demographics

    • Droyne Languages: Oynprith is a ceremonial and ritualistic language apparently universal among Droyne communities. Other languages are used in casual day-to-day affairs.
    • On this world, these other languages may include Anglic and Vilani (language).
