World Government[edit]

Yumuri has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.

Yumuri is home to 4 distinct nations:

  • Yusa - Northern continent, largest landmass.
  • Muria - Equatorial continent
  • Cuba - Equatorial continent
  • Havan - Southern continent, 100km from shores of the Cuba nation.

Each nation hearkens back to Terran historical nation of Cuba in the Gulf of Mexico, but despite alleged common origins, each has developed its own dialect of the Spanish language, each of which is distinct from the standardized Quesadan Spanish. Quesadan Spanish is still taught in Yumurian schools and used in business contexts.

Each has its own form of government and priorities.

World Law Level[edit]

Yumuri has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Military[edit]

Each nation maintains its own wet Navy and ground forces.

Each nation also donates money and materiel to support the planetary defense forces.

World Economy[edit]

Yumuri has a fully-developed world economy. Each nation conducts it own trade policy and maintains its own downport(s).

World Demographics[edit]

Humaniti 100%

World Culture[edit]

Each nation on Yumuri has its own cultural identity, which is distinct from Quesadan cultures.

The Church is certainly present on Yumuri, but it does not have the force of law that it does on other worlds.

The Yumuri nations have imported and adopted the Huecar penchant for "food combat". Every 2 years, a large food-oriented Olympica is held between culinary teams from each nation, under Church food purity laws and oversight. Most towns and cities hold corresponding festivities before and during the Olympica. The food is truly epic, and there is talk of inviting a Huecar delegation.

Spanish and Spanish dialects, Anglic.

Urbanization[edit]

Major cities are built using technologies and designs ranging between T-12 and T-14, according to wealth.
