History & Background (Dossier)
Yggdrasil is ruled by the Golden Queen, who traces her lineage to the rulers of the Sindalian Empire.
- When the empire fell, one of the rulers fled to Yggdrasil and started the current royal line.
- Refugees from Yggdrasil itself settled Garrone (now Stormhaven).
The Imperium made brief contact with Yggdrasil in 151, during an attempt to find a route across the Great Rift. More substantial recontact occurred two generations later.
- Yggdrasil, with its space elevator and high-capacity starport, was the ideal place for the Imperium to establish a trading post.
