Yerrin is a rich, agricultural world with improving living conditions due to a bustling agro-economy.

  • As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
  • This is a rich world with a prosperous and thriving world economy.
  • This world is rich with high-grade living conditions, a good climate, and a non-harmful environment. Immigration registration for this world is always in high demand.
  • It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Orret Subsector of Far Home Sector.
  • This world is directly controlled by Pador

System Data

Yalooka-Yerrin System

The primary is Yalooka, an ordinary orange main sequence star. It has a luminosity of 4.67 Sols, a mass of 2.3 Sols, and a diameter of 4.592 million km. The inner system consists of (II) a vacuum inner world, (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (IV) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital position (I) is empty. (V-I) Yerrin, designated the mainworld, and (V-II) a dense atmosphere hospitable world, have a shared orbit within the habitable zone. (VI) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (VII) an exotic atmosphere bigworld form the outer system.

Mainworld Data

(V-I) Yerrin

(V-I) Yerrin is designated the mainworld. It orbits Yalooka at a mean distance of 1.47 AU (219.9 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 1 year 64 days and a rotation period of 17.5 hours. The axial tilt is 22 degrees. Yerrin has a diameter of 8,735 km, a density of 4.62 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.57 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, with a mean surface pressure of 0.88 bar and a composition of 79% nitrogen (N2), 19% oxygen (O2), 1% argon (Ar), and 1% water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), ozone (O3), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. Approximately 63% of the surface is covered in oceans of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.3m. Mean surface temperature: 34°C. The climate is rated as Hot and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and strong weather systems driven by the star and the oceans sweep across the globe.

Satellite

Yerrin retains a single natural satellite, a thin atmosphere hospitable world named Boregam:

(V-Ia) Boregam (UWP H343000-0, orbiting at 30 Diameters/265,000 km)

Mainworld Geography and Topography

Total surface area: 240 million km², Water surface area: 151 million km², Land surface area: 89 million km².

Native Lifeforms

The hot marginally hospitable world lying in orbital position (IV) (within the H– region of the inner system) has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of shelter and moisture. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.

Yerrin, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

  • Boregam, Yerrin's hospitable moon, has extensive native life, consisting of microscopic organisms, stromatolite-parallels and primitive flora that can be found in almost every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.

The temperate hospitable world lying in orbital position (V-II) (within the habitable zone) has primitive native life, consisting almost entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in most ecological niches. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.

No other world in the system is known to have native life.

History & Background (Dossier)

World starport

Yerrin has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World technology level

Yerrin possesses a Technology Level of TL–6.

World government

Yerrin has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. A colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.

World Military

350,000 personnel.
