System Data
Yand System
The primary is an unnamed yellow subgiant star. It has a luminosity of 55 Sols, a mass of 2.64 Sols, and a diameter of 11 million km. The inner system consists of (II-I) a vacuum worldlet, (II-II) a trace atmosphere inner world, (III) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (V) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital position (I) is empty.(VI) a dense atmosphere hospitable world orbits within the habitable zone. (VII) a sparse stony planetoid belt, and (VIII) a ringed very large gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
No world within the system has been designated the mainworld.

Native Lifeforms
Despite the marginal conditions the hot hospitable world lying in orbital position (V) has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that exist in any location where they can find even a minimal trace of shelter and moisture. Their metabolic functions maintain the process of atmospheric renewal.
The temperate hospitable world lying in orbital position (VI) (within the habitable zone) has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)
Much of what is known of the Excalisor system comes from the Dillard-Purcell Expedition of the late 53rd century.
