Xtus is a poor world.

• It lacks the population and means to expand its economy at this point in time.
• Life here is poor, but most people make by and live as happily as they can.
• It is located in the Andwella Subsector of Vanguard Reaches Sector.
• This is the homeworld of the Veghu sophont species.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)

The Veghu live in vast lava tunnels far underground. The race wasn't discovered until a mining operation cut into a tunnel in 843, and for a century the Veghu remained a mysterious ghostly presence, their true nature only gradually revealed.

History & Background (Dossier)

The system of Xtus is on the Tellerian Main but outside the Tellerian Cluster as defined in the Council of Worlds Agreement.

World Starport

Xtus has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

World Government

The closest equivalence to a Veghu government is what could be termed a water control district, which maintains complex rules for personal allocations and maintenance obligations.
