Vorvoun is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Empire of Varroerth in the Vorvoun Subsector of Provence Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This world-system hosts a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- It lies on the Vorvoun Course.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x5 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Vorvoun is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Vorvoun has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Vorvoun has 75-85% of its surface covered by liquid water with a few large continents and extensive islands. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Vorvoun has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to a Vargr Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Vorvoun has a population of 5,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- The population entirely consists of Vargr.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Vorvoun possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-5.
World Government (G)[edit]
Vorvoun is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are young governments, coming as a recent change and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
World Law (L)[edit]
Vorvoun has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- ca -250,000: The Ancients were active within the region, transplanting the Vargr onto Lair.
- -9235: the Vilani discover jump technology. A few explorers and settlers begin to pioneer the region.
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims a few rimward worlds within the sector and establishes a firm border. The Windhorn Rift and the absence of any significant Mains discourages large-scale Vilani expansion into the region.
- -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
- -2400s: Vargr raiding into human-dominated areas significantly increases. This becomes known as the Vargr Pillaging.
- ca -1700: Vargr rimward expansion gradually ceases: the border between human and Vargr space stabilizes.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- The Year 0: to rimward-trailing, the Third Imperium is founded.
- circa 26: the Empire of Varroerth is founded.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 777: the Lair Protectorate is established.
- early 900s: the Llaegharrgh-Vorvoun Jump Bridges are constructed.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the jump bridges becomes widely available.
- 1095: Faarzgaen extremists capture a number of worlds and secede from the Empire of Varroerth. They declare a Jihad against neighbouring worlds.
- 1096: the Province of Llaeghskath secedes from the Empire of Varroerth, becoming the Llaeghskath Interacterate.
- 1100: The political situation in the Jihad of Faarzgaen closes the spinward of the two Llaegharrgh-Vorvoun Jump Bridges.
