Description / Specifications

Velous Subsector is named for the Velous system and its red giant primary star. The coreward-spinward region is dominated by the Risa Cluster, the rimward-trailing regions lie within the Demon's Eye Rift, while the center of the Subsector contains scattered systems. The Scybrian Run Star Lane terminates in the coreward edge of the Subsector, while the Kuyt Chain Star Lane follows its spinward border. Fedan is the homeworld of the Hoppers, an insect-like Sophont species and humanity’s earliest allies in the Distant Fringe. The region saw heavy fighting during both the civil wars and the Scybrian Wars.
