Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The VCS 889 class Survey Ship is a science starship.
- It is a civilian ship and a Survey Ship.
Description (Specifications)
It is a vessel with ?-G and J-? performance. The asteroid survey ship model 889, was well adapted to military service as it already processed a thick platisteel armored hull. This allowed it to survive impacts with space debris and to afford the long duration survey crews some radiation shielding.
- Two triple beam lasers were included to blast asteroids open and for mining. A triple missile turret replaced the mineral sensor probe launcher originally installed.
- It ordinarily carries no subcraft nor drones. The original, unmodified models had a mineral sensor probe launcher.
- It has a # sophont crew and # marines.
