Maksim-Smelchak (Author) Biography

Maksim-Smelchak is a long-time Traveller player, fan, and playtester. Maksim very much enjoys the Traveller universe and has a large collection of 6mm sci-fi game miniatures including a number of Traveller forces, which he uses to play a variety of sci-fi mini games including Dirtside II.

While Maksim served in the US Air Force, an old friend gave him a cache of LBB's (Little Black Books). Maksim spent many a C-130 and C-5 transport plane ride pouring through LBB's in-between missions. Maksim currently lives in Northern California in the United States, and is a frequent enjoyer of all kinds of gaming goodness: RPG's (role-playing games), board games, miniature games, etc.

In the past, Maksim has contributed to a variety of gaming products as an author, playtester, magazine article writer, proofreader, illustrator, product reviewer, small press publisher, and in a variety of other roles.

Some of Maksim's current goals in 2015 are to:

• Add (create), edit, and update all of the articles about sophonts. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Work on the Major Race pages. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Add the "High Tortuga" materials. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Clean up some of the "Ludography" pages. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Expand the Gypsy Knights Games pages. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Create the John Watts author page. DONE! (Late January 2015)
• Catalogue Aslan clans. DONE! (February 2015)
• Catalogue Tlaukhu and build tables for it. DONE! (February 2015)
• Build out tables for the life cycle of the Daghadasi. DONE! (March 2015)
• Write/create the Reticulan Parasite page. DONE! (March 2015)

He has previously contributed material to the Traveller RPG Wiki including creating new material, spellchecking, proofreading, Wiki code corrections, word-smithing, and other additions.

• Add (create), edit, and update many articles about alien lifeforms creatures.
• Work on the Government pages.
• Clean up and word-smith the "High Tortuga" materials.
• Eventually work my way into the Megacorporations pages.
• Eventually work my way into the Corporations pages.
• Finish the GKG pages. Add cover images to all of them.
• Add Erin's planets article.
• Add Robject's creatures.
• E-mail FreeTraveller's authors for permission to port over their creatures.
• Contact Jim and recruit him to the cause.
• Finish reviewing Don's master sophont list.
• Organize all sector pages with headers, titles, etc.
• Help Thomas with creature updating.
