Surrounded entirely by the Third Empire of Gashikan, and located on the grand Nudashiir Lagani, the so-called "Lishun-Gashikan Main" that enabled the Vilani to travel readily into the region.

History & Background (Dossier)
The Union was the only Vargr polity in Gashikan Sector to avoid total depopulation by the Yileans during the Gashikan Race Wars. However, repelling the brutal campaigns of the Second Empire of Gashikan resulted in a near-terminal decline, with this once high-tech and prosperous nation reduced to poverty and squalor. Today, the Union is little more than a ghetto to which Vargr "workers" elsewhere in the Gashikan border worlds can be dumped once their use is up.
