Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The Thele class System Defense Boat is a defensive warship.
- It is a paramilitary ship and a System Defense Boat.
Description (Specifications)
It is a streamlined, conical hull fitted with fuel scoops for ocean refueling. For defense, the thick metallic hull carries the best armor available at TL–9. These are system defense boats, which can be transported as light battle riders, two at a time, on the fifty Garin class Light Carriers. This craft carries a pair of 10 ton Thele class Tracked ATVs. Their main function is to transport a 36 marine platoon for a surface assault. They are fitted with a model 3 fib computer, and rely on a four triple missile turrets and four triple beam laser turrets for their offensive punch. They are capable of 6-G acceleration and have 4-Agility. Their thick armor and massive engines and power plants makes them expensive to build.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
