Notes (2016)

Tjoneslo, where did the date categories on the base pages to this article come from?

I used the various historical eras and dates of Humaniti in Charted Space, based upon the various bits of canon. Mostly this was supposed to be used to give broad categories to the various articles, vs the more narrow designed to give more background to a campaign. First, second and third Imperiums, as well as the interstellar Wars and Long Night are all well established as eras. I made up the "Long Silence" and "Rise of the Vilani" for name. If you do a search through the Forums I think you can find the discussions around these names. Tjoneslo (talk) 15:17, 18 September 2016 (EDT)

It's all very good and clever, but I think we should re-standardize on what is in agent of the Imperium.
The Third Imperium article has those mapped out if I recall correctly.

Are you referring to this table or this table] ? Tjoneslo (talk) 18:06, 19 September 2016 (EDT)

No the overview table that I built in 2015. The historical eras table that Wayne built using Agent.
As far as I can tell, it is the same as the one in Don's timeline.
It's tough mapping out something that has not so much rhyme or structure. Don must have loved it.

If I'm reading this right we would have the following:
8. Years of the Interregnum (1116 - 1247)
9. Years of the Fourth Imperium (1248 - 1899)
10. Years of the Galaxiad (1900 - )
I fully support making this change. This looks great.
The other thing the division of the Years of the Third Imperium into the 10 sub-parts. I don't think we should split the Third Imperium Timeline into these sub-parts. They're too short for the Timeline, and fit better as Category:Milieus. I like the idea of borrowing some of the names for the existing era's. For example, Category: Era: Milieu 990 looks so much better as Category: Era: Solomani Crisis. Tjoneslo (talk) 21:17, 19 September 2016 (EDT)

At that point, I was just doing the best I could to map things out. It was original research so to speak.
I think we should open up discussion on this.

Tjoneslo, I want to make this happen soon.

  • Do you feel it needs to be further discussed or vetted before we do it?

The Lorenverse years span from 1115 to sometime in the 1400s. Otherwise I'm fine with this. Tjoneslo (talk) 20:48, 30 January 2019 (EST)
