Notes (2015)[edit]

Looking good, User:Tjoneslo amd User:Jmattera! Sincerely, Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 15:58, 10 February 2015 (EST)

Why are auxiliaries repeated in both tables??? Jmattera (talk) 19:51, 12 February 2015 (EST)

I was looking at the secondary codes for both types (see consolidated table at bottom of the page). In looking at the possible values from the Ship Hull Designations/updates for the military auxiliaries, it looked to me and I wanted to verify, which set of secondary codes should be applied. The thinking was since the auxiliaries are non-combat ships, the secondary codes may be closer to the civilian side than the military side. The two large tables are a working set to show which codes are in use and eyeball how to select a code when different meanings overlap. The final set is the table at the bottom of the page. I recommend that the modified codes in Ship Hull Designations be linked in as a set of examples. Also, the grouping may provide a better understanding of the breakouts. Jmattera (talk) 20:07, 13 February 2015 (EST)

I'm unclear on what you mean. Can you provide an example? Tjoneslo (talk) 08:10, 14 February 2015 (EST)

My recommendation is to link to Ship Hull Designations with the new designations that were put together in Ship Hull Designations/updates. If you want, at this point I can strip out the old designation from Ship Hull Designations/updates and just leave in the new material. The listing would be a good aid in helping people more easily understand the ship type codes. Jmattera (talk) 09:04, 14 February 2015 (EST)
