Notes (2019)[edit]

The Template:BookList on this page may be incorrect. The template uses DynamicPageList to detect links to the current page to include items in the list. When you include a link to this page in the sources template the DPL query believes you are a contributor to the book (rather than the article). With the current policy, this box may soon include all 2000+ Traveller products. I have no way to fix this concern, nor any recommendations as workarounds. Tjoneslo (talk) 07:42, 2 April 2019 (EDT)

I noticed this as well and have ideas for a fix.

  • This is one of the subjective problems of using extensive automation.

Thomas, do you think that all names on the publication pages will be affected?

- Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 10:40, 2 April 2019 (EDT)

To be fair, the Template:Booklist was written with certain assumptions. When those assumptions were changed, the template stopped working as expected. This is the way of software. The template assumes all the linked names in the publications pages are for the contributors to the book/magazine/publication, and not article contributors. Tjoneslo (talk) 19:31, 2 April 2019 (EDT)

If we keep the user name, we should be safe.

I updated the articles in the book list to restore the "User:Maksim-Smelchak" in the sources template for your name. This book list is now correct for your contributions to the published Traveller works. Thank you for your hard work. Tjoneslo (talk) 08:56, 7 November 2019 (EST)
