Thank you. David Pulver and the GURPS-TRAV group. I think we have notes somewhere on the wiki about the relationship of the "Spacemaster" races to Traveller.

* As aside note, the T5 Working group, and specifically Mark, has given me permission, to locate and designate homeworlds for all of the T4 Aliens Archive (T4-AA) species.

* I have worked with Jim Kundert and others to research and designate those [[homeworld]]s. The project is about two years in at this point.

* While some of the T4-AA sophont species have been designated over the years, not all of them have been designated in published work, but they have been designated by Mark's caveat under Don's Hermeneutic. I wish we had a better canon system. Working on it.

Notes (2018)[edit]

Some talk of the location of the homeworld:

Notes (2017)[edit]

Confused. The coordinates given point to the system Emyzi (world) on the Traveller map, within the Krotan Primacy. Are the Krotan and the Lithkind the same thing? I know Lithkind are GURPS...

I think it must be a mistake. A mixed-up name. I will look into it later and see if I can update the file.

  • Thanks for your inquiry!
- Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 18:26, 17 November 2017 (EST)

The Lithkind home world was selected based upon some general ideas of where they should be located (between the Hive Federation and the Two Thousand Worlds) and the world was selected based upon the data set we had access to. This was before Joshua had organized the Traveller Map site and incorporated several different data sets. So it may be possible that the Lithkind are in charge of Krotan Primacy. But this is more a case of two groups developing in the same area without talking to each other. The fun of reconciling sources.

When you say "we", who exactly do you mean?

  • I have not looked at resources yet.
  • I am assuming that you mean the Inner Circle. Which members? Jim?
- Maksim-Smelchak (talk) 20:23, 17 November 2017 (EST)

By "we" I meant David Pulver and the rest of the GURPS playtest team on GT: Alien Races 3. The Lithkind is one of David's "Spacemaster" races (originally for his own Traveller Campaign), that needed a place to be. And that was what was decided at the time.
- Tjoneslo (talk) 22:35, 17 November 2017 (EST)

Reading the page history, User: Garnfellow added the location of the Lithkind homeworld. The original source has a description of the system but no location more specific than "Gzirr!k'l sector, between the Hive Federation and the Two Thousand worlds". If my memory serves, we didn't have access to Mark Humprey's work on Gzirr!k'l sector during the playtest, so could not have identified a specific world.

Thank you. David Pulver and the GURPS-TRAV group. I think we have notes somewhere on the wiki about the relationship of the "Spacemaster" races to Traveller.

  • As aside note, the T5 Working group, and specifically Mark, has given me permission, to locate and designate homeworlds for all of the T4 Aliens Archive (T4-AA) species.
  • I have worked with Jim Kundert and others to research and designate those homeworlds. The project is about two years in at this point.
  • While some of the T4-AA sophont species have been designated over the years, not all of them have been designated in published work, but they have been designated by Mark's caveat under Don's Hermeneutic. I wish we had a better canon system. Working on it.
