I noticed that GURPS Traveller Alien Races 3 lists "nooq" as Gurvin for "sphere". Given that Deru Nooq is listed as having government type A, charismatic dictator, it seemed reasonable that the planet is named for the dictator. Apparently Deru has been busy, since this world has three colonies, two of which also have A-class starports. But then Deru is up against Star Patterns Trading, and Star Hub and Star Harvest have naval facilities as well as A-class starports...
