The GURPS Traveller New Service [1] has a series of dispatches that reference a number of worlds in Aldebaran sector. These bulletins all take place, of course, in the alternate timeline of Milieu 1120.

Other than Home (1009), none of the world names or hex locations seem to correspond to the current Traveller Map data, which is unofficial -- though the locations are supposed to approximate the dotmap in Alien - Solomani & Aslan:

• Covenant (Aldebaran 1410), a world with a planetary parliament.
• Daedalus (Aldebaran 0606), home to the pleasant island resort of White Kyros, known to cater to Solomani Party leaders.
• Europa (Aldebaran 2208), a world struggling with an ongoing civil rebellion in 1121.
• Euxene (Aldebaran 0806), presumably located in subsector A.
• Heimdall (Aldebaran 0401), a balkanized world with the breakaway nation-state of Bremagne.
• Marava (Aldebaran 1809), a hereditary monarchy ruled by a deposed noble family that claims title to the Iridium Throne. Emperor John III ascended in 1119.
• Monterey (Aldebaran 0809), a system with multiple gas giants near Home.
• Teilhard (Aldebaran 0203), a "relatively isolated world."
• Twilight (Aldebaran 0911), the homeworld of Marc Chissano, who served as Secretary-General of the Solomani Confederation from 1120 until he was deposed in 1122. The hex location would put this world in Subsector F. The 132-1121 TNS bulletin references a "Star Bridge" subsector, which may refer to F. Twilight was an authoritarian dictatorship ruled by the Chissano family until overthrown by a junta in 1121.

Tauran minor race -- Any sources?

Are there any information sources on the Tauran minor race?

The only source for information on Aldebaran would be Randy Dorman (aka User: Garnfellow). I checked the blog and there is nothing there. I suspect the only source is in his brain and you'll have to ask. Tjoneslo (talk) 13:44, 8 March 2022 (EST)

Taureans are sophonts introduced in the Journal of the Traveller's Aid Society Online (April 1, 2003), "Shuanyun" by Paul Drye and Jon F. Zeigler: the Taureans, natives to Taurea (0532 Aldebaran). Limited details on the homeworld, a rich world with "vast and interconnected forest canopies [in its] north temperate region."

Taureans are a very interesting minor race: small, semi-intelligent gadgeteers, "a common sight in the region of their original homeworld, both inside the Solomani Confederation and outside its official rimward border -- Garnfellow (talk) 05:41, 16 December 2023 (EST)
