History & Background (Dossier)

The TC6 Bisak class Brig serves with the Trooles Confederation. Examples of the class can be encountered throughout the coreward parts of Theta Borealis Sector.

The TC6 Bisak class Brig was designed to avoid modular quarters in large cargo bays. A dedicated troop carrier, a small platoon of 32 orbital assault marines were billeted on these ships. They have a platoon of Grav APCs and a pair of dropships for dust off and recovery. The available cargo hold shrank as a result. The armor is lighter, the ship is less expensive for its size, it is slower, but has superior range with enough fuel for two Jump-2s and can carry Jump-2 drop tanks common to all Confederate designs from this period.

Class Naming Practice/s & Peculiarities

Class Naming Practice/s:
Vessels of the Trooles Confederation are given alphanumeric designations and callsigns by other interstellar states. TC refers to Trooles Confederation (a designation applied to all Confederation combat units), 6 is a multiple of hundreds of tons of displacement and also indicates at a glance the number of weapons mounts, and when it is used 'b' refers to the version of the vessel, relating to its construction tech level and bracketing its maximum jump potential. Type codes will often repeat: 'Bisak' is an easy to remember class name to identify the specific type of vessel.

  • Individual vessels are named by a committee using an authorized list.
