General Description
It is a vessel with 2-G and J-2 performance with a streamlined cone hull. The vessel has a fully streamlined conical structure hull that is fitted with fuel scoops and fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness ocean refueling. These fully streamlined conical structures can land on planetary surfaces. The design suffers from less drive performance, no computer back ups, and no evasive agility.
- It carries light armament and a defensive suite. It has a smaller missile bay. They dispense with the plasma guns in favor of a more powerful beam laser battery.
- It ordinarily carries several subcraft and drones. They carry a single squadron of heavier, dual environment fighters for close air support of their marine platoon. The 54 marines can use drop capsules to attack from orbit, and have a company of attack speeders.
- It has a 101 sophont crew and 54 marines. The single occupancy staterooms are for greater crew comfort on longer duration deployments, but allow for 101 additional troops to be carried, 113 if the 12 low berths are filled as well, which constitutes a reinforced marine company.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (...of ten subcraft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (...thousands of tons) where necessary. Accommodations
Accessible areas of the hull are fitted with grav plates and inertial compensators and have full life support and environmental systems.
|
3. | Performance | The vessel mounts a Jump-2 drive, a Maneuver-2 drive, and an upgraded fusion Power Plant-2, giving performance of Jump-2 and 2-G acceleration. The ship has an agility rating of 0 and an emergency agility of 2. The internal fuel tankage is sufficient for a Jump-2 and gives the power plant 4 weeks duration. It is fitted with drop tanks, should extended range operations be required.

Class Naming Practice/s:
Vessels of the Trooles Confederation are given alphanumeric designations and callsigns by other interstellar states. TC refers to Trooles Confederation (a designation applied to all Confederation combat units), 17 is a multiple of hundreds of tons of displacement and also indicates at a glance the number of weapons mounts, and when it is used 'b' refers to the version of the vessel, relating to its construction tech level and bracketing its maximum jump potential. Type codes will often repeat: 'Deckert' is an easy to remember class name to identify the specific type of vessel.
- Individual vessels are named by a committee using an authorized list.
