Starships are designed with the Classic Traveller format, using High Guard Shipyard v1.13 written by Andrea Vallance. |
The TC17 Deckert class Patrol Cruiser is a warship.
- It is a military ship and a Cruiser.
Description (Specifications)
The vessel has a fully streamlined conical structure hull. It is fitted with fuel scoops and fuel purification plant allowing it to perform wilderness ocean refueling. These fully streamlined conical structures can land on planetary surfaces. They carry a single squadron of heavier, dual environment fighters for close air support of their marine platoon. The 54 marines can use drop capsules to attack from orbit, and have a company of attack speeders. The single occupancy staterooms are for greater crew comfort on longer duration deployments, but allow for 101 additional troops to be carried, 113 if the 12 lowberths are filled as well, which constitutes a reinforced marine company. The design suffers from less drive performance, no computer back ups, no evasive agility and a smaller missile bay. They dispense with the plasma guns in favor of a more powerful beam laser battery.
Basic Ship Characteristics
Following the Imperial Navy and IISS Universal Ship Profile and data, additional information is presented in the format shown here. The small craft factor indicates the number of squadrons (of ten craft) carried on the ship. Tonnage on the universal ship profile is shown in kilotons (thousands of tons) where necessary. [1]
