Spica Sector is a vital crossroads between the Hive Federation and Solomani Confederation.
Meta-History & Background
Spica Sector was originally designed by Marc W. Miller and appears in the Classic Traveller Atlas of the Imperium (GDW, 1984).
- It was later further refined by Clay Bush of the HIWG.
- Traveller author and fan Leroy W. L. Guatney developed many materials for this sector, at his fan site called the Federation Development Agency, which have not been declared canon to date.
- In 1984, the Classic Traveller Atlas of the Imperium was published.
- In 1986, Classic Traveller Hivers (Alien Module) was published.
- In 1990, MegaTraveller Alien - Vilani & Vargr was published.
- In 1991, MegaTraveller Alien - Solomani & Aslan was published.
- As of Summer 2017, this sector is slowly programmed into the Traveller RPG Wiki.
- It has been T5 Second Survey reviewed and updated to T5 standards.
Description (Specifications)
The Hivers dominate the region's trade market and as memories of the relatively recent Solomani Rim War fade, more and more merchants and traders are frequenting the area.
- The areas of Solomani Sphere are still recovering from the aftermath of Imperial commerce raiders.
- The Hiver areas are part of the Young Worlds and are a developing frontier region.
- A rich and rapidly developing coreward area of Independent Space attracts much attention and trade.
