Sol, subsector K of Solomani Rim contains 18 worlds with an estimated population of 83 billion, a per capita income of Cr13,427, and a total economy is BCr1,125,759. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr19,357 through 17 starports (7 Class A, 7 Class B, 3 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 3,583,095 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Sol maintain four Naval bases, one Way station, and one Scout base. The average technology level is 12 (with most between 10 and 14). The highest technology level is 15 at Nusku (Solomani Rim 1822), Terra (Solomani Rim 1827), and Lagash (Solomani Rim 2121).

Sol, subsector K of Solomani Rim contains 25 stars and 182 identified planets; 12 monostellar systems, five binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 15 of the 18 systems (83%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, three Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, three Poor (Po) worlds, two Vacuum (Va) worlds, and no Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Sol has an estimated population of 83 billion distributed across seven High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Lagash (Solomani Rim 2121) and Terra (Solomani Rim 1827). The population consists of 2 sophont groups.

History & Background (Dossier)

Sol subsector's Terrans developed the jump drive and began exploring other systems.

  • They immediately ran into the Vilani at Barnard's Star, Prometheus (Alpha Centauri), and Agidda.
  • Conflict was almost immediate, as Terran expansionism clashed with the Vilani desire for stasis.
  • The hardest fighting in the early wars naturally enough took place in this subsector, as each side fought for control of the crossroads systems of Fenris (Procyon) and Barnard.

After the Interstellar Wars, Terra lost importance.
