System Data
Sithula System
The primary is Sithula, a gigantic red bright giant star. It has a luminosity of 15,255 Sols, a mass of 16.5 Sols, and a diameter of 1.067 billion km – the corona of the star lies at 3.57 AU, within orbital position (VI). The inner system consists of (VIII) a vacuum worldlet, (IX-I) a vacuum inner world, (IX-II) a trace atmosphere inner world, (X) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (XI) a sparse stony planetoid belt – orbital positions (I) to (VI) lie within the star and orbital position (VII) is empty. (XII) a dense stony planetoid belt lies within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (XIII-I) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (XIII-II) a ringed very large gas giant, and (XIV) a vacuum iceworld form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(XII) Sithula Main Belt
(XII) the Sithula Main Belt lies within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. It lies at a mean distance of 145 AU from the star and is primarily made up of carbonaceous bodies with diameters of less than 100 km. The inner edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of nickel-iron bodies, is considered to lie at around 110 AU from the star and the outer edge of the belt, with a higher concentration of icy bodies, is considered to lie at approximately 220 AU. The main body is named Sithula Prime, with a mean orbital distance of 157 AU around Sithula and an orbital period of 485 years. It has a long axis of 230 km, a density of 2.25 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.003 G. It retains no atmosphere and has no hydrographics. Mean surface temperature: -50°C in sunlight, -120°C in shadow.
Native Lifeforms
No world in the Sithula system is known to have native life.
