Shumuu is a vacuum world, with no atmosphere or hydrosphere. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Bolivar Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Amec Trade Protectorate and the Domain of Vland. Shumuu, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Nobility charged with overseeing the world. This world contains an Imperial Scout Base, capable of handling Scout Service starships and personnel. During the Long Night this world was named Lashka. The Nahuatl name of the world is Huahuantli.

History and background

Shumuu was once a major mining colony which had almost been minded out, and was headquarters of House Yeipanitl until the Eddum (Dagudashaag 0531) disaster in 895. When the disaster struck the people of Shumuu elected to abandon the moon colony and use its entire resources to support the rescue effort. Afterwards House of Yeipanitl was rewarded with great honors for its unselfish actions and was granted estates on Asimidiske (Dagudashaag 0828).

Today Shumuu is little more than an automated starport while House of Yeipanitl maintain a robotic mining facility involved in strip mining the planetary surface.
