Historical Data

Shulgiasu was settled during the Ziru Sirka (Anglic: Ziru Sirka), when it was the sector capital, the most densely populated Human world of the sector, and the center of Vilani culture on the Rim. It served as the main naval base and Naval Depot of the Aasha Ziru Sirka (Anglic: Aasha Ziru Sirka) for the Ninth Interstellar War. Terran immigration was significant after the Ninth Interstellar War, but the Vilani population was never completely assimilated. Vilani language and culture remain important on Shulgiasu even today.

During the Long Night, Shulgiasu established strong ties with the Vegan Polity, especially the nearby world of Muan Kwoyen (Solomani Rim 2218). With its Vegan ties and strongly Vilani culture, Shulgiasu suffered fierce oppression during Solomani rule. Many monuments and relics of the First Imperium were destroyed by the Movement. After the Imperium returned, Shulgiasu renewed its ties to the Vegans, and indeed in 1036 it petitioned to join the Vegan Autonomous Region.
