There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). - prior to -8100: a Suerrat pre-Jump multi-world civilization flourishes, centered on Ilelish.
- circa -8100: The Vilani make contact with the Suerrat and sell them jump technology.
- prior to -5400: the Suerrat have established a multi-world polity using jump drives. It would become one of the first targets of the Vilani Consolidation Wars.
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka controls the world.
- -2404 to -2215: the Interstellar Wars.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the worlds of the region.
