Shink is a barren world with no overt population, government, or law level.
- This world could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Erven Subsector of Bourne Sector.

System Data
Kesser-Shink System
The primary is Kesser, a yellow subgiant star. It has a luminosity of 5.54 Sols, a mass of 1.85 Sols, and a diameter of 3.729 million km. The inner system consists of (I) a vacuum worldlet, (II) a trace atmosphere worldlet, (IV) a corrosive atmosphere inferno world, and (V) a very thin atmosphere hospitable world – orbital position (III) is empty. (VI) Shink orbits within the habitable zone and is designated the mainworld. (VII) a sparse stony planetoid belt, (VIII) a large gas giant, and (IX) a ringed small gas giant form the outer system. Many of the worlds retain satellites.
Mainworld Data
(VI) Shink
(VI) Shink is designated the mainworld. It orbits Kesser at a mean distance of 2.68 AU (401 million km), within the habitable zone. It has an orbital period of 3 years 83 days and a rotation period of 43 days 8 hours. The axial tilt is 16 degrees. Shink has a diameter of 10,335 km, a density of 5.92 g/cm³, and a surface gravity of 0.87 G. The world is geologically active. Its atmosphere is rated as Standard, Tainted, with a mean surface pressure of 0.97 bar and a composition of 67% nitrogen (N2), 32% oxygen (O2), and 1% argon (Ar), water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), neon (Ne) and other trace gases. The taint is caused by the high percentage of atmospheric oxygen. Approximately 44% of the surface is covered in lakes and seas of liquid water: average tidal ranges exceed 0.25m. Mean surface temperature: 29°C. The climate is rated as Temperate-Warm and experiences minor seasonal changes during the local year. The atmosphere is active and powerful weather systems driven by the star and the seas sweep across the globe.
Satellites
Shink retains two natural satellites, a vacuum worldlet named Wendell and a very thin atmosphere hospitable moon named Froom:
- (VIa) Wendell (UWP Y200000-0, orbiting at 9 Diameters/93,000 km)
- (VIb) Froom (UWP Y425000-0, orbiting at 25 Diameters/260,000 km)
Mainworld Geography and Topography
Total surface area: 335 million km², Land surface area: 161 million km², Water surface area: 174 million km².
Native Lifeforms
Kesser-Shink System
The hot marginally hospitable world lying in orbital position (V) (within the H– region of the inner system) has primitive thermophile native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that thrive in the harsh conditions. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
Shink, the mainworld, has extensive, abundant native life, with complex organisms inhabiting every ecological niche. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Froom, Shink's temperate hospitable outer moon, has primitive native life, consisting entirely of microscopic cyanobacteria-parallels that thrive in the conditions. Their metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
No other world in the system is known to have native life.

World Starport
Shink has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Technology Level
Shink possesses a Technology Level of TL–0.
- These worlds often contain a Proto-Sophont species beginning to establish a nascent civilization and society.
- This world is in its Alpha Period and has not yet been interfered with by a higher technology civilization.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Bodily communicative apparati, courier-runners, and smoke signals.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Bodily muscle.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Bodily locomotion, riding beasts, and litters or sedan chairs.
- Water: Swimming, rafts, and canoes.
- Air: Typically not available unless a bodily ability.
World Government
Shink has no central government for the world, an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
